I`m packing away the Christmas decorations today, I keep thinking about moments like this. A newborn held close, gentle lights in the background, the calm of a first Christmas at home.
These early days are often a blur, especially around the festive season. The tree, the lights, the tiny details all fade, but the feeling of holding your baby close stays. That is what I aim to preserve through natural, unhurried family photography.
As a natural family photographer based in Ruislip, West London, I photograph newborns and families in a calm, gentle way, creating images that feel true to this season of life.

Tis the season for cosy indoor baby photo sessions! I met this gorgeous little 5 week old girl at home for her first family photo session in Ealing last week. Have you walked in the Chess Valley? Absolutely amazing autumn colours there this weekend! We did a loop between Little Chalfont and Chesham Bois. And it’s still pretty dry, hardly muddy at all so far this year!

So who can you bring to a mini session?
These shoots are `mini` so bring just your closest family! That`s usually just one or two parent(s) and your child(ren), plus any furry members of the family. Sadly there won`t be time to include extended family or grandparents in a mini session (my regular shoots are ideal for this).
If you`re thinking of including your doggy best friend muddy paws and wagging tails make the best outdoor memories! I have more tips for dog lovers on preparing for a doggy photo shoot on the blog - drop me a message for a link.
These autumn mini sessions are ideal for families who don’t like to stay still! We’ll capture real-life moments with kids - with or without dogs too. Messy, funny, and full of personality, but polished just enough to hang proudly on your wall. Photos that remind you of the days their antics made you laugh, not cry.
