Hello. I'm Jenny

and I'm a photographer!

Here's a few things you need to know about me.

01

Adventuring in nature is my passion

I'm a mum of twins and outdoor adventurer, and addicted to making photographs! I'm the one at the back of the group on the hike, caving trip or scuba dive, stopping again to admire a tiny bug or a majestic view.

Whether it's the intricate details of insects, the hidden depths of underground caves, the awe-inspiring depths beneath the waves or the antics of my kids, I photograph everything that catches my eye!

But home is where my heart is

Once upon a time, I was in IT and spent my weekends photographing flowers and butterflies. But when I had twins, everything changed! Watching my little ones grow at lightning speed, I knew I wanted to help other families freeze those blink-and-you-miss-it moments.

Back in 2012, I took the leap and turned my passion into a thriving photography business.

Now, from my cozy corner in Ruislip, West London, I’m ready to come to you—whether it’s for a laid-back session at home or a playful adventure in your favorite park. My mission? To capture the joy, quirks, and love that make your family one-of-a-kind. Let’s create memories that will make you smile for years to come!

Things I'd like more of...

fluffy guinea pigs

long walks going nowhere in particular

scuba diving adventures

velvety latte

bitter chocolate

uninterrupted nature

wildflowers in every colour

sci-fi books (and Terry Pratchett)

running that magically makes me fit

sketching, painting and zentangle

laughing with twins

and, obviously,

more cameras to take more photos!

What to expect with me?

Have you had your photos taken by a professional photographer before? Don't worry, it's not as scary as it sounds!

Family photo sesssions capture genuine and beautiful moments with your family, in a fun and relaxed experience. Don't wait too long to preserve these precious times - children grow up quickly, and now is the perfect time to capture your family's unique story.

I come to you. You can choose to have pictures cosy at home, in your favourite local park, exploring the buzz of the city, in a vast majestic landscape, or surprise me with something new to explore!

You can check out my on-line calendar to choose a date. One hour is usually plenty of time for a family session with a wide variety of photos. We can plan a two hour session if needed, for example for newborns, parties, or for far locations.

  • Book the date!
  • Take a look at my session guides
  • Ask as many questions as you like!

You might have noticed that I love finding water to swim in whereever I can. If you fancy some urban family photos there are lots of places in London that we can add some water sparkles to your images, or even get soaking wet! Here's one from when I had my photos taken a couple of years ago. #familyphotographylondon

If you are in the city but could do with a bit of a green oasis relaxation, find this spot in central London hidden between the skyscrappers. St Dunstan's in the East is a ruined medieval church, which after bomb damage in the 40's was preserved as a luscious garden, with a small trickling fountain and lots of picnic spots.

You can find St Dunstan in the East a 10 minute walk from Tower Hill tube and has a background of shiny glass buildings of the corporate world. Surrounded by more obvious sights, such as the tower bridge, the tower of London, and the Monument, there is lots to see.

There are so many great city locations in London for urban photo adventures.

If you'd rather go wild in the city than the countryside, and love London and the hustle and bustle, this is the photo shoot for you. Capture some real family pictures and some iconic locations in a city adventure session, whether you are just visiting, staying or leaving.

I think Londoners sometimes loose sight of the interesting bits of London - whereas the tourists are whizzing around trying to see it all. I've lived in London for about 25 years now, and regard myself as a long stay tourist (but still a northerner at heart). I still find new things to explore in London. I can take you to some of my favourite routes - with views and sights, but still enough space for us to take some vibrant electric city pictures.

I've been thinking hard about how to improve the experience of having family photographs.
When I started out it used to take me 2 hours to get enough great photos in a family photo session.
With experience I got that down to 1 hour.
But...
Now I am going to start offering half day, 3 hour plus photo sessions
Because the enemy of great photos is photo stress.
The parents get stressed
They give it to their children
"Stand still"
"Smile now"
"We only have an hour"
So lets take that stress away with a longer photo session
Not 3 hours solid of photos. Of course not. (that would be mad)
But 3 hours in which to choose the best time to take the photos
We'll go on an adventure
I'll show you my favourite places
The kids will investigate, the trees, the bugs, the nature
We'll play. Bubbles, balls, feed the ducks
Stop for a picnic.
Distract ourselves with icecream
The photo session isn't something we are trying to get out of the way, it's the fun outing of the day.
Quality family time
So don't tell the kids that they are going out to a photo session ("Stand still, Smile now")
But that we are going out for a family adventure
And that I'll take some photos while we are there, because they are superstars!
Super fun
Super explorers

It’s time to make my yearly photo book. This is my 2023 in rainbow order!
I’ve placed my order with @blurbbooks and it should be here soon. It feels good to get them off my computer onto real life paper. Whats your favourite way to display your photos in real life? #printthatphoto #familyphoto #photobooks

Tears from grandma!

We have had no shortage of positive feedback from friends and family alike (plus a few tears from grandma). Out only problem was choosing which photos not to use - I promise you the choice will be hard!

Cat, (new mum, Ruislip)

Personalities were captured!

Our photo shoot with Jenny was fantastic, a really relaxing and enjoyable trip to the park, from which we have some beautiful photos. She was great with our children and the informal nature of the shoot made sure that their personalities were captured in the pics

Helen (mum of two, London)

Made us feel very comfortable despite being camera shy

Jenny did a family photoshoot for us last year, and we loved her work so much that we asked her to do a photoshoot for us again to celebrate our twins turning two.
Jenny gave us some lovely pictures, and made us feel very comfortable despite the fact that both my husband and I are notoriously camera shy. We shared the pictures with our friends and family, and everyone was full of praise!
Thanks so much Jenny!

Sundus (mum of twins, Ealing)

Urban family with ball

You captured so many expressions!

Thank you for a beautiful range of photos! You captured so many changing expressions and the reality of being a 3 month baby, that we don't get to see in the thick of it.

Sejal (mum of 2, Harrow)

Girl jumping in garden - Outdoor family photoshoots at home

We absolutely treasure them

Jenny has done three portrait sessions with our family. She takes really fantastic photos - we absolutely treasure them. She’s also a lovely person to work with. Highly recommended.
