“Splat!” That’s the sound of a cream cake being hit with a hammer.
We’d tried the normal way, like spoons and hands, but William just hadn’t managed to break into the cake. Since I was visiting William at home his wooden toolkit was there and handy, so Daddy had an idea. Splat. Demonstration over, Daddy handed the hammer back to one year old William for his starring moment.
“Click!” Now things were beginning to get messy as William realised that there was sweet crumbly cake inside the cream. His eyes lit up and he started to dig in.
