How do I book my photo session?
To book your photo session please send me a message and we can fix a date! I can share my on-line availability calendar, and you reserve your date by paying the session fee.
Do you have a photography studio?
No, I don't have a studio, as all my family photo sessions take place either in the comfort of your own home, or at your favourite outdoor location. This makes them unique to you, to capture the magic of your family, your way.
Who can I include in the photo session?
I love included extended family in your photoshoot! So do invite the grandparents, bring the pets along, and make it a real family occasion. I can also cover parties and special events, get in touch for a chat.

What's the best age to get my newborn or older baby photographed?
I photograph babies at all ages. In the first couple of weeks newborns are (usually!) sleepy and small, a few weeks later and they may sleep less but have beautiful wide open eyes to photography. Don't worry if you have missed the first few weeks, your baby is never too old to have their first photo session! See more about all the stages to capture in the first year on the blog.
Do you bring props for a newborn session?
My photographic approach is natural lifestyle for all ages, so for newborns we go with baby relaxing in their home environment. And there is so much to capture at home, we don’t need any gimmicks to make baby the star of the show!
Can you photograph families with special needs?
It is my passion to provide a photo adventure that is tailored just to you and your family.
If your kids or others in the family have special needs lets talk and I can make whatever adjustments are necessary for your family to have a fun being photographed, and capture their real characters.

I booked an outdoor photo session, what about the weather?
For outdoor sessions we do have to sometimes take into account the Great British weather! I will shoot in anything but pouring rain, so if it is just a bit grey we can still have fun.
If the forecast is looking really wet I will discuss options with you and either the day before or on the day we can decide to reschedule, or relocate if there is any suitable alternative eg your home.
What if the kids are ill?
I understand that children do get ill, and we are not going to get the best photos if your child is not well. Generally if your child is ill enough that they wouldn't go to school or nursery, then we should reschedule to a better day. Please let me know with as much notice as possible if your child is too ill - a phone call please if it is last minute.
What if my kid has a scratched face?
Don't worry, I can usually apply the magic of photoshop during editing to remove those temporary childhood injuries, should you choose to!

Have you walked in the Chess Valley? Absolutely amazing autumn colours there this weekend! We did a loop between Little Chalfont and Chesham Bois. And it’s still pretty dry, hardly muddy at all so far this year!

So who can you bring to a mini session?
These shoots are `mini` so bring just your closest family! That`s usually just one or two parent(s) and your child(ren), plus any furry members of the family. Sadly there won`t be time to include extended family or grandparents in a mini session (my regular shoots are ideal for this).
If you`re thinking of including your doggy best friend muddy paws and wagging tails make the best outdoor memories! I have more tips for dog lovers on preparing for a doggy photo shoot on the blog - drop me a message for a link.
These autumn mini sessions are ideal for families who don’t like to stay still! We’ll capture real-life moments with kids - with or without dogs too. Messy, funny, and full of personality, but polished just enough to hang proudly on your wall. Photos that remind you of the days their antics made you laugh, not cry.

I don’t think I’ve ever noticed these purple loosestrife flowers at the lido before. Looking great and I had to wait ages to get a pic without people posing in them! Doing a yearly project of photos is a great way to notice and remember all the seasonal changes. Video timelapse to come!. #ruisliplido #ruislip #iloveruislip #timelapsephotography

You might have noticed that I love finding water to swim in whereever I can. If you fancy some urban family photos there are lots of places in London that we can add some water sparkles to your images, or even get soaking wet! If you are in the city but could do with a bit of a green oasis relaxation, find this spot in central London hidden between the skyscrappers. St Dunstan`s in the East is a ruined medieval church, which after bomb damage in the 40`s was preserved as a luscious garden, with a small trickling fountain and lots of picnic spots.
You can find St Dunstan in the East a 10 minute walk from Tower Hill tube and has a background of shiny glass buildings of the corporate world. Surrounded by more obvious sights, such as the tower bridge, the tower of London, and the Monument, there is lots to see.
There are so many great city locations in London for urban photo adventures.
