Hello. I'm Jenny

and I'm a photographer!

Here's a few things you need to know about me.

01

Adventuring in nature is my passion

I'm a mum of twins and outdoor adventurer, and addicted to making photographs! I'm the one at the back of the group on the hike, caving trip or scuba dive, stopping again to admire a tiny bug or a majestic view.

Whether it's the intricate details of insects, the hidden depths of underground caves, the awe-inspiring depths beneath the waves or the antics of my kids, I photograph everything that catches my eye!

But home is where my heart is

Once upon a time, I was in IT and spent my weekends photographing flowers and butterflies. But when I had twins, everything changed! Watching my little ones grow at lightning speed, I knew I wanted to help other families freeze those blink-and-you-miss-it moments.

Back in 2012, I took the leap and turned my passion into a thriving photography business.

Now, from my cozy corner in Ruislip, West London, I’m ready to come to you—whether it’s for a laid-back session at home or a playful adventure in your favorite park. My mission? To capture the joy, quirks, and love that make your family one-of-a-kind. Let’s create memories that will make you smile for years to come!

Things I'd like more of...

fluffy guinea pigs

long walks going nowhere in particular

scuba diving adventures

velvety latte

bitter chocolate

uninterrupted nature

wildflowers in every colour

sci-fi books (and Terry Pratchett)

running that magically makes me fit

sketching, painting and zentangle

laughing with twins

and, obviously,

more cameras to take more photos!

What to expect with me?

Have you had your photos taken by a professional photographer before? Don't worry, it's not as scary as it sounds!

Family photo sesssions capture genuine and beautiful moments with your family, in a fun and relaxed experience. Don't wait too long to preserve these precious times - children grow up quickly, and now is the perfect time to capture your family's unique story.

I come to you. You can choose to have pictures cosy at home, in your favourite local park, exploring the buzz of the city, in a vast majestic landscape, or surprise me with something new to explore!

You can check out my on-line calendar to choose a date. One hour is usually plenty of time for a family session with a wide variety of photos. We can plan a two hour session if needed, for example for newborns, parties, or for far locations.

  • Book the date!
  • Take a look at my session guides
  • Ask as many questions as you like!

One of my favourite parts of being a family photographer is watching families grow over the years. Family life is all about change! From first birthdays sitting happily on mum and dad’s knee, to being a big brother and woodland adventures. These are the photographs that become more valuable with time, capturing a real season of family life exactly as it was.As a family photographer based in Ruislip, I love documenting the chaos and magic of growing up through natural family photography across Hillingdon and surrounding areas. Relaxed outdoor sessions like these give children space to play, cuddle, laugh and simply be themselves. If you have been thinking about updating your family photos, this is your reminder that there never needs to be a perfect time. Drop me a message to talk or book!

When you look back at your photos, it is rarely the big posed moments that mean the most.It is the small things, like seeing your big babies playing with your new babies. The expressions you did not even notice at the time, and those that were so common at that time and now are gone.If that is the kind of photography you are drawn to, I would love to create that for you. Familiy photography in Ruislip, West London capturing the chaos and magic for new babies, big babies and the rest of the family too!

After all the excitement of waiting for baby they are finally here! But those early days are a blur. You are tired, your routine is all over the place, nothing feels organised. And that is exactly why this is the right time, to capture these new days before it's all changed again. You do not need a perfect house, you do not need a routine, you do not need everything figured out.I come to your house to meet your new family just as it is. I keep everything calm, simple, and guided so you can relax into it.Don't worry, as a natural baby and family photographer and mum of twins, I'm used to the chaos new babies bring to the home, so if we have to move piles of baby stuff just to sit down that is fine! If you have been waiting until life feels more settled, this is your sign to stop waiting. Message me and I will talk you through how it works. #ruislip #familyphotographerlondon #familyphotographerruislip #WelcomeHomeBaby #RuislipNewbornPhotography #LifestylePhotography #twins #twinsofinstagram

Why is April is the easiest month for family photos?April has the most vibrant nature - the bright green leaves are coming through, the bluebells and 100 other flowers are out, and the sun is shining - making being outside irresistible! The light is soft - the sun still low enough for flattering light. The weather is warming, and not too hot or too cold - everyone is comfortable. Even those like me who hate the heat can bask in the sun in April!!It makes it much easier to keep things relaxed and natural. If you have been waiting for the right time, this is it!We've nearly run out of April, and I have a limited amount of sessions available over the next 4 weeks as spring rushes to its end! DM me to make a plan for your family photography session in nature!

If you go down to the woods today you will find not only bluebells, but STICKS. The best toddler toy ever made, according to our tester this weekend.I did my first outdoor nature family photoshoot in the bluebell woods near Ruislip this weekend and the bluebells are just perfect - though I'm pretty sure the toddler didn't care about bluebells, just STICKS!The rest of the woods is feeling fresh and green also as the leaves are coming out but still letting the sun shine through when it feels like it.One last spot for my spring woodland bluebell mini sessions is available on Saturday 18th (this weekend!) drop me a message for details!

There is lots on to get the kids outside over Easter. Despite the weird weather it has been mostly sunny today, so here are some recommendations of Easter trails where there is a cafe to retreat to!Rickmansworth Aquadrome - The Great Egg-Scape puzzle trail, watch out for the illusions, and check out the high-tech augmented reality Easter egg hunt. (I put this first because the @thecafeinthepark is my favourite park cafe ever! Check out the cakes!)@kewgardens - interactive Octonauts themed trail for 3-6 year olds. This playful trail gives children the chance to take on an exciting mission, helping honeybees while learning about the natural world in a hands-on way. The Great Eggscape easter egg hunt at @cliveden_national_trust - The Easter bunny needs your help to track down the runaway eggs hiding around the gardens. Make your way along the trail and expect games and activities along the way.The Cracking Black Park Easter Trail @bucks_country_parks - Join us for an animaltastic egg trail in Black Park. See if you can find all the hidden animal characters & giant Easter eggs in the woods! (They also have a new cafe to try out on the near side of the lake)@headstone_manor_museum Gnome trail - Pick up your free trail sheet at the Manor entrance, find all the pesky gnomes and win a prize! (The moat cafe should reopen from tuesday!)Have fun and I hope you catch some sunshine!

Tears from grandma!

We have had no shortage of positive feedback from friends and family alike (plus a few tears from grandma). Out only problem was choosing which photos not to use - I promise you the choice will be hard!

Cat, (new mum, Ruislip)

Personalities were captured!

Our photo shoot with Jenny was fantastic, a really relaxing and enjoyable trip to the park, from which we have some beautiful photos. She was great with our children and the informal nature of the shoot made sure that their personalities were captured in the pics

Helen (mum of two, London)

Made us feel very comfortable despite being camera shy

Jenny did a family photoshoot for us last year, and we loved her work so much that we asked her to do a photoshoot for us again to celebrate our twins turning two.
Jenny gave us some lovely pictures, and made us feel very comfortable despite the fact that both my husband and I are notoriously camera shy. We shared the pictures with our friends and family, and everyone was full of praise!
Thanks so much Jenny!

Sundus (mum of twins, Ealing)

Urban family with ball

You captured so many expressions!

Thank you for a beautiful range of photos! You captured so many changing expressions and the reality of being a 3 month baby, that we don't get to see in the thick of it.

Sejal (mum of 2, Harrow)

Girl jumping in garden - Outdoor family photoshoots at home

We absolutely treasure them

Jenny has done three portrait sessions with our family. She takes really fantastic photos - we absolutely treasure them. She’s also a lovely person to work with. Highly recommended.
