I’m often asked “What is the best season for photography?” which is a tricky one to answer as everyone has their own favourite. I’m pretty fickle on this one and I usually decide I like the current season best! To help you out when thinking about outdoor portrait locations I have here a set of photographs I took over the course of a year at one of my favourite locations in Ruislip Woods.
As you can see, the seasons with the most changes are Spring and Autumn, where over the course of a couple of months the whole look of the woods changes. I like the stark look of the trees in the Winter, though I am really hoping this will be the year we get some beautiful snow again. And Summer is great for being Summer, with (slightly) more reliable weather patterns, though this being England we can’t guarantee that!
